Privacy Policy

Who we are

Aideworks is a company registered in the Netherlands. We provide SSL certificate monitoring, DNS change detection and domain health monitoring services to web agencies, managed service providers and enterprise organisations. You can reach us at hello@aideworks.com.

What data we collect

• Account data: name, email address, hashed password, recovery phone number (last digits only used for identity confirmation).
• Domain data: FQDNs and DNS records you add for monitoring.
• Usage data: IP addresses, browser/device information logged at authentication (audit log). IPs are anonymised after 90 days.
• Analytics: aggregated, anonymised visit statistics via Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity (only with your cookie consent).
• Communication: if you contact us, we store the content of your message to respond.

How we use your data

• To provide the monitoring service: check SSL certificates, detect DNS changes, send alert emails.
• To secure your account: authentication, MFA, session management, fraud detection.
• To communicate with you: service notifications, responses to your enquiries.
• To improve the product: aggregated, anonymised analytics (with consent).
• Legal basis: contract performance (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR), legitimate interest (security logging), and consent (analytics cookies).

Data storage and transfers

All data is stored on servers located within the European Union. We do not transfer personal data to the United States or other third countries. We do not sell or share personal data with advertising networks.

Sub-processors

We use the following third-party processors to operate the service:

• Microsoft Azure — transactional email delivery (noreply@aideworks.com). Mailbox access is restricted by application access policy to this mailbox only.
• Mollie — payment processing (when billing is active). Mollie is PCI-DSS certified and processes payment data under their own privacy policy.
• Google Analytics — anonymised website analytics (with cookie consent).
• Microsoft Clarity — anonymised session analytics (with cookie consent).

Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies for session management (httpOnly, Secure, SameSite). With your consent, we set analytics cookies (Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity). You can change your cookie preferences at any time via the Cookie settings link in the footer.

Your rights

Under GDPR you have the following rights:

• Right of access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Right to rectification — correct inaccurate data.
• Right to erasure — request deletion of your account and all associated data.
• Right to data portability — receive your data in a machine-readable format.
• Right to object — object to processing based on legitimate interest.
• Right to withdraw consent — withdraw analytics cookie consent at any time.

Data retention

Account data is retained for the duration of your account. DNS and SSL snapshots are retained for 24 months. Authentication audit log IP addresses are anonymised after 90 days. If you delete your account, all personal data is permanently erased within 30 days.
