Smart Alerts

Send alerts that people actually check — not every check, just the ones that matter.

Aideworks only sends alerts on state changes — not on every monitoring check cycle. Multiple issues on the same domain get bundled into a single email digest. Recovery emails confirm when problems are fixed. Configure different alert recipients per domain so the right person gets the alert for their domain.

How alert fatigue breaks your incident response

Email alerts are supposed to notify you of problems. Instead, most monitoring tools train your team to ignore them.

Alert fatigue from every check

A domain's SSL cert will expire tomorrow. The monitoring tool sends you 24 alerts — one per hourly check — instead of one alert. Your team stops reading alert emails. Two days later an actual problem arrives disguised as noise.

Alert storms during multi-domain incidents

A DNS provider goes down. Ten of your client domains are affected. Your inbox receives 300 alert emails in 15 minutes — one per domain per check cycle. Finding the signal in the noise takes longer than fixing the problem.

Not knowing when things are fixed

An SSL cert was renewed. A DNS record was corrected. You have no way to know from the alert email alone whether the fix worked — you have to log in and check manually.

Intelligent alerts that respect your inbox

Aideworks sends alerts only when state changes — when something goes from healthy to warning, or from warning back to healthy.

State-change alerts only

An SSL cert reaches day-7-before-expiry. You get one alert. It stays at 7 days for another day? No new alert. It reaches day-6? No alert. Only when the state changes do you get a message.

Multi-event digest bundling

Multiple issues detected on the same domain in a single check cycle are bundled into one email. An SSL cert expiring AND a DNS record changing on the same domain = one alert, not two.

Recovery alerts you can trust

When an issue resolves — cert renewed, DNS corrected, site back up — you get a recovery email confirming all is well. No more wondering whether the fix worked.

Per-domain alert recipients

Configure different recipients for different domains. Your client's SSL cert expiry goes to their account manager. DNS changes go to your ops team. Each domain routes to the right people.

Configurable thresholds per domain

SSL alerts trigger at 30/14/7/1 days before expiry by default. Adjust thresholds per domain to match your response time — tighter windows for manually renewed certs, wider for auto-renewed ones.

Alerts + SSL + DNS + Uptime

Smart alerts work across all monitoring types.

SSL alerts, DNS change alerts, uptime alerts, email security alerts — every monitoring feature produces alerts. They all follow the same logic: state change only, digest bundling, recovery confirmation.

Configure recipients and thresholds once per domain, and the same routing rules apply to SSL expiry, DNS changes, uptime incidents and email security failures. Consistency across all monitoring.

Your team actually reads them

One meaningful alert per incident instead of one-per-check-cycle means your team stops ignoring email. Alerts are valuable again.

Faster incident response

Less noise means faster discovery and faster fixes. Your team responds to actual incidents instead of wading through digest emails.

Right person, right alert

Route SSL alerts to your renewals contact, DNS alerts to ops, uptime alerts to support. Everyone gets context-appropriate notifications without shared inboxes or filtering rules.
